MamaShop Account & Data Deletion
Last updated: 2 September 2026
Any Mamashop shop owner can request deletion of their account and the business data associated with it, whether or not they currently have the app installed. This page explains how to request deletion, how we verify the request, what gets deleted, and what we may need to keep. It works together with our Privacy Policy.
1. How to Request Deletion
Send a deletion request through the Mamashop Contact page, from the email address on your account, with your shop name and the phone number registered on the account. Ask for your Mamashop account and data to be deleted, and let us know if there are specific records you want kept for legal or accounting reasons.
2. Verifying Your Identity
Because a deletion request permanently removes shop and customer data, we confirm the request comes from the shop owner (or an authorized account holder) before acting on it. We do this by matching the details you provide, such as the shop name, owner name, registered phone number, or account email, against what is on file for the account, and we may ask follow-up questions if something does not match.
If we cannot verify that a request comes from the account owner, we will not delete the account, to protect shop owners from having their data deleted by someone else.
3. What Gets Deleted
Once a request is verified, we delete the account and its synchronized business data from our backend (Supabase), including:
- Shop and account information
- Products and product images
- Stock levels and stock movement history
- Sales and sale items
- Expenses
- Customers and customer phone numbers
- Customer credit and debt records
- Suppliers and supplier orders
- Employee and staff account information
Uninstalling the app, or clearing its storage, removes the copy of this data kept locally on that device. A deletion request removes the synced copy from our backend; it does not reach into other devices the app may have been installed on.
4. What We May Retain
Even after an account is deleted, we may keep a limited set of information where we have a legitimate reason to, such as:
- Payment and subscription records needed for accounting, tax, or dispute purposes
- Security and fraud-prevention logs, such as sign-in activity tied to the account
- Information we are required to keep to comply with applicable law or a legal request
This retained information is kept only for these purposes and is not used to continue operating the deleted account.
5. Processing Time
We aim to verify and complete deletion requests within 30 days of receiving them. Some information described above may take longer to fully age out of backups and logs, but it is not used for any purpose other than what is described in Section 4 while it does.
6. Contact Us
