Terms of Service

Mamashop is a shop management app for small retailers, covering sales, stock, money tracking, customer credit, suppliers, and reports. It is built to work offline first, syncing to our backend when a connection is available, so a shop can keep operating without a constant internet connection.

Mamashop does not use a traditional username-and-password login. A shop is set up directly in the app, and the person setting it up is responsible for the accuracy of the shop and owner information entered, and for keeping the device it is installed on reasonably secure. You are responsible for all activity that happens under your shop, including anything entered by staff you allow to use the app.

A new shop gets a 30-day free trial with full access to Mamashop’s features — the trial is not a reduced or limited version of the app. No payment method or purchase is required to start or use the trial. Once the 30-day trial ends, continued access requires an active subscription as described below.

After the free trial, Mamashop is offered as MamaShop Monthly, an auto-renewing monthly subscription. Subscriptions are billed and processed entirely through the app store you installed Mamashop from:

• On iOS, through Apple’s In-App Purchase system (StoreKit) and your Apple ID account.
• On Android, through Google Play Billing and your Google Play account.

The price shown in the app is set by your App Store or Google Play account’s own country and currency, and is the price you agree to by subscribing. The subscription automatically renews for the same one-month period unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Payment is charged to your Apple ID or Google Play account at confirmation of purchase and again at renewal. You can view, manage, or cancel your subscription at any time in your Apple ID or Google Play account settings — Mamashop does not process or store your card, mobile money, or bank details for the subscription itself, and cannot cancel or refund a subscription on your behalf. Refunds, where available, are handled by Apple or Google under their own refund policies.

This is separate from the Cash, Mobile Money, Card, or Credit payment methods a shop records for its own customers’ purchases inside Mamashop — those are a normal part of running the shop and are never routed through the Mamashop subscription billing described above.

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service, other shops’ data, or our backend systems
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service, or attempt to bypass subscription verification
• Reverse engineer the app beyond what applicable law permits

Our Privacy Policy explains what information Mamashop collects, where it is stored, and how it is used, and forms part of these Terms. You retain ownership of the shop and customer data you enter into Mamashop.

You may stop using Mamashop and delete your account and data at any time from within the app (More > Account & Data), or by following the steps on our Account & Data Deletion page. Deleting your account does not automatically cancel an active Apple or Google Play subscription — cancel that separately in your Apple ID or Google Play account settings to stop future billing. We may suspend or terminate access to the Service for a shop that violates these Terms.

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not guarantee the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at all times, and we do not guarantee any particular business outcome from using it. To the extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, in connection with the Service.

To the extent permitted by law, Mamashop and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of, or inability to use, the Service, including loss of business data, revenue, or profits. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

We may update these Terms as Mamashop changes. If we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date above, and where appropriate, notify shop owners through the app. Continued use of the Service after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Ghana, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles.
